Molly A. asked:

Well, I was thinking they can’t all have private jets and I didn’t know if they traveled like regular people on a plane but I didn’t know. So I was just wondering if anyone knew what they did. Even if you don’t know, please just take a guess. Please and thanks!

First class! It must be nice to live like that.

Most of them have either Private jets or use their agencies private jets - then they go on to preach about how bad everyone is for wasting gas and causing global warming.

Hypocrites all of them.

Either private jets or first class. They also aren’t so easily recognized when they don’t want to be. Dressing down, wearing glasses or changing their hair.

they fly 1st class on regular flights. i actually was watching a comedy special and a comedian was talking about how jessica simpson was on his plane on one flight. she was just sitting there in 1st class.

I don’t know so I’ll take a guess. Many take regular public flights and sometimes they’re photographed going and arriving at the airport. I’m sure the often go with first/business class and may even have bodyguards or other persons go with them to take up the seats to their left and right and help deal with any distractions from photo-stalkers(paparazzi) and other people.

Due to my job, I spend a tremendous amount of time traveling by plane. During this time there have been several occasions in which a celebrity has been on the same flight. However, though they are on the same flight it is completely different. First, they always fly first class. Second, they are usually allowed to board first. Third, they are accompanied by a body guard and reserve several first class seats providing the celebrity with plenty of room.

Excellent question.

Google John Travolta and his airplanes.
He owns 4 planes one of them is a refurbished 707 which was just featured on Oprah’s “The Big Give” .
He has a home that looks like a control tower at a private airport….WITH THE PLANES PULLED UP NEXT TO IT LIKE A CAR IN A DRIVEWAY!!!

Not too shabby for a “Sweathog”!

theres like companies that rent planes out, same concept as limos and such

Some travel commercially. Some travel on jets they own, others on leased jets. Some also travel on smaller general aviation twins, or their own airplanes. For instance, there’s one celeb that owns a Cirrus, another I know owns a King Air.
It all depends on what type of traveling they need to do.

It’s alot easier to travel via small airports who can handle small jets (4 to 8 passenger sizes) or twins, etc. There are 6 or 7 of those style airports within 15 miles of me, easily accessable, and very relaxing to fly in and out of.

Many have they’re own aircraft and many others charter. I was chief pilot for a company the managed many aircraft for the hollywood crowd. Ive flown schwarzzenneger, willis, stalone, dimi more, goldie hawn, curt rusell, cruise, swazee and many others.. I was the pilot that flew with john travolta for insurance purposes until he got enough time in his GII. I had a great carreer,

I was a Customer Service Agent for 22 years, and I saw a lot of celebrities flying. Some used charters, particularly groups like the Beatles.

One of the funniest things I ever saw was Tommy Lasorda, the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, walking up a Jetway ramp with Don Rickles, arm in arm. All you could see was thousands of bug-eyes!

Private jets can be rented and are a way for clebs to get around without the hassle of security and fans and photographers. For many of them, the cost is inconsequential.

Have flown numerous celebs, as well as owners of professional sports teams, in private jets, mostly charter, some fractional. Have also flown a variety of other persons, as well.
Some celeb travel is provided by the contracting party and is private charter, such as for celeb attendance at certain promotional events (e.g., Vegas nightclubs, concerts). My very first flight at one L.A.-based charter company–and my first charter ever in a jet—was for a celeb.
True that airlines are also used, but I wouldn’t know about that. Also, have seen several celebs that I wasn’t personally flying pass through the private jet terminals or get into or out of private jets on the ramp. In fact, I am often parked next to or close to a jet owned by an A-lister, that is based at my home base airport. It really is the only way to fly.
Additional Comments: Flew 3 celebs today on same private charter flight. And the private jet next to us on the ramp had two on board.. Not naming any names.
