Lizzie asked:

So I’m flying to Krakow Poland, and I don’t enjoy the sensations felt during flight on regular airline planes, and the thought of flying on a much smaller private business jet scares the crap out of me. The reason i ask is that i must fly on a jet next week. I think the flight is 4 hrs +.

It’s a long time and no pit stops. So how is the ride, is it a quicker flight, more turbulance, what about take off? if you can answer any of those questions and more i’d greatly appreciate it since i can’t find much of what i’m looking for online.
Thanks <3

If it’s a private jet and not a private turboprop or regular prop then the sensations felt during flight will be exactly the same as a commercial airliner. The only difference will be the absence of the crying babies, OAP’s and the other people you would normally be crammed up against on a comercial flight. The flight will be about the same time (dependant on the aircraft) and the amount of turbulence felt will be the same (dependant on the altitude flown at).

In conlcusion the only difference will be the interior of the aircraft and not any of the other experiences during flight.

I’ve been flying private jets for my entire civilian career. The only difference you will notice is how pampered you’ll be. And the gourmet food of course.

You’ll never fly commercial again.

There may be some additional differences, depending on the type of charter you get.

You may experience less noise, less ear-popping (depending on the type of airplane), less turbulence (again, depending on how high the charter flies, which is largely type-dependent).

One thing is near-certain: You won’t have a worse experience in any way; all contests are won by charter, when stacked up against commercial. Safety, comfort, dependability, food, customer service. Oh — not price… but you already knew that.

Its alot of fun, a family member owns a private jet and flies us around to vacations every once in a while… its an amazing ride… I disagree that you would never fly commercial again… the price tag on those things is several thousand dollars per hour if you own them…

Most private jets have a washroom in them, so stopping isn’t a worry. And most have snacks and lots of booze, haha. Bigger business jets have little fridges and microwaves. Big leather comfy chairs and couches. Plus, a more direct route into smaller airports, and quicker customs.

Private jets are the only way to fly.
