How many carbon credits does Al Gore buy when he flies on a private jet?

The reason I ask is because Cathay Pacific ( very nice airline by the way) has a deal that you can buy carbon credits for the miles you fly. 800 for a trip to China. That’s coach by the way. It seems to me that Al should be popping about 80,000 for the same trip based on the economy of scale reletive to a 10 passenger jet compared to a jet that holds 350+ people. Do you think he will do it?

LOL!!! Now an airline is selling you carbon credits.

The better question for Al Gore is why he lives such a wasteful life in the first place. Is buying carbon credits to “offset” your carbon footprint real better than minimizing your carbon footprint in the first place? How about minimizing your foot print and going out in your front lawn and plant that tree yourself. Even better yet, plant that tree and don’t kill 10 others sending out press releases telling everyone what you did.

Ah…you have missed the true slipperiness of Al Gore. He actually doesn’t buy any. What he does is buy carbon credits from a company of which he is a major holder…so what he is doing is paying himself for the credits.

The good news is, not being president will not leave him without a retirement income.

who cares what gore dose? you can make a difference now by changeling what you do today.

PS apparently gore dose purchase carbon credits so his impact is effectively zero.

Al Gore does not buy any carbon credits, they are given to him by his company, much like stock options.

I hope you bought a bunch on your way to New Zealand, I just heard they are gonna put them on the stock market.It`s probably Al Core`s idea. That man sorta reminds me of a slippery pole cat.One of these days I`m gonna write an expose` on what is really happening to the enviroment, like our milatary shooting them nuclear bombs at them U. F. O`s in Nevada creating the hole in our ozone layer.Also, about those space rockets shooting into space-it`s tilting our poor planet off it`s axles-that`s whats causing all the killer storms etc. Good Greif , I must open up some people`s eyes.
